Hi, I found this artwork through .
I really like the choice of colours here. The whole picture gives out a bluish purple tone.
The style is quite interesting. The line work is casual like sketches, while the colouring is more realistic, and the two combined becomes a semi-realistic. The white pattern across the face is quite unique. It makes me feel that the character is from some ancient tribe.
I think you can add more detailed with the colouring. As I mentioned above, it is in bluish purple tone, and it gives me a sense of dark calmness to it. (Not sure how to describe it.) Perhaps you can apply darker shadings in the areas like the neck and around the eyes, so to increase the contrast.
Overall, you did a very good job! The thing I like the most is the style

Thank you so much for this comment. And you're right! This is lacking a bit in contrast!!

Greetings from
This one really stood out to me among the thumbnails.Β
COMPOSITION: Is great! It's so simple yet so striking! I absolutely love it.
ANATOMY: Is slightly skewed, but that adds such a great character and taste to the piece.Β
COLOUR/SHADING: Is so subtle but so perfect! It's almost all grey, yet it exudes so much colour. The background is grey but somehow appear bright and warm. Like this person is standing with so much hope, love, and all the good feelings behind him/her.
STYLE: With other pieces I see in your thumbnails, I wouldn't have thought you had a style developed yet, but this one has such a brilliant style!Β
OVERALL: Honestly, I'm not sure if I can add anything to improve this piece. It would make a brilliant illustration for books, magazine piece, etc. If I have to be really picky, maybe the outline of the face is a bit messy. But then, part of me feels like maybe that uneven outline of the head adds to the feeling of bright light behind him/her.Β
My goodness, I'm sorry this must be like the least helpful comment of all times. But I just had to say something because this is really an awesome piece. I hope you keep creating

Hey Iβm with Project Comment!
I love the blue; it can be hard to make a skin tone that isnβt actually a typical skin colour look good but youβve done it here. The blue suits the form well and draws attention to the slight pink on the cheeks and lips. The subtle shading on the contours of the face is well done too and gives the image depth. The neck area, I think, could use a little more shadow to deepen it, although the linework in that area helps with that as well.
The character seems genderless, the eyes are pretty but could be handsome if it were a guy. The lips are also quite feminine and lush but the face shape is quite strong so it could go either way. I like the light markings on the face. It could be paint of some kind or perhaps natural markings, and I like how much is really left up to interpretation on the piece. The ears are not protruding too much and look very proportionate as well.
I think the linework could be a little neater but it doesnβt take away from the pic much if at all. All in all I like it and Iβm faving it!

The illustration is great. The skin color reflects a coldheart-edness. The subtle features of the face suggest the gender could be feminine. The neck looks a little wide, but it could be neglected. I am not an artist my self, but I liked it. Good Job!

I find myself contemplating the gender of this person. But also not caring what gender they turn out to be.Β
I like the subtle blush added to the cheeks, it gives it that bit of warmth and makes it feel alive when all the rest of it is a cold and distant blue.Β
I get the feeling of loneliness from this.Β

Thank you! The gender of this person is deliberately ambiguous, but you got it! It's not a consequential thing.
Loneliness was, sadly my reality at the time of painting this, it was not deliberate but I suppose those things seep through.
Thank you for your comment c:
