Atlantis (in Greek, Ἀτλαντὶς νῆσος, "island of Atlas") is a legendary island first mentioned in Plato's dialogues Timaeus and Critias.
In Plato's account, Atlantis was a naval power lying "in front of the Pillars of Hercules" that conquered many parts of Western Europe and Africa 9,000 years before the time of Solon, or approximately 9600 BC. After a failed attempt to invade Athens, Atlantis sank into the ocean "in a single day and night of misfortune".

Impact

Well , Ill start with the impact of the thumb ,which was great on me , otherwise I wouldnt write this e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)" />
The color and level setup is good , everything makes a balanced impression, nothing too dark or too bright.
I also like how you arranged the used stock and tthe linkback in your comment , thats cool and gives a quick overview how the picture is constructed e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />
However , there are some technical details I want to talk about here. First thing is the visible distortion of the used stock which could have been avoided ,or at least hidden better from the viewers eye.
First thing here is the ground under the mermaid , the ground itself looks ok but the fishes show that the piece was scaled smaller and the aspect ratio changed. And in connection to the fishes you can also see it on other details of that piece like the algeae colonies at the left. Wouldn't have happened if the fishes were deleted or put in seperatly. Its more work , sure , but it would enhance the realistic optic impression one usually aims for when using photomanipulation.
The same thing goes for the poseidon statue. This could be beacause of the water surface being pierced by it but thats hard to distinguish since you dont see any optical effect , no caustics by the waves , no light. Like that it just looks slightly distorted and out if its natural aspect ratio.
A last small point of critique would be the strange effect at the waters surface in the top of the image. Looks lie you applied too many filters or blending effects there ,amplifying the noise of the used stock photos. Looks still good from afar but when you zoom in you see the noise.
But despite these details its a good piece all over , I like it e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />

oh, what a gorgeous manip! it's making me thirsty. the composition is awesome and i really love the colours.

the only critiques i have is poseidon's head looks a little flat (i understand that you might've been trying to convey the distortion of the water, but i don't think it fully worked out, it needs to be higher). and the mermaid's arms need to be opaque.

other than that, i think it looks great! you've put together some awesome pictures. seamless! and it really feels like i'm underwater.
