I guess the story behind this one, is that Dieggo's mom kept calling me a mermaid after I dyed my hair blue. I guess I do look like one. But anyways, I did that last mermaid piece, and while I was drawing it, I got to thinking. Mermaids wouldn't be pretty at all. They would probably have tough, lethery skin to withstand the water. And being mammels, their tails would be much more leathery and course, morel ike a whale. And like a whale, they would probably have paracitic leech creatures growing on them. And they would NEED sharp teeth, otherwise how would they eat? Something of that weight can't eat plankton... even discounting the weight, humans have two eyes in front, as preditors do... unless I gave the mermaid eyes on the SIDE of her head, she HAS to be a preditor! And they would probably have a layer of clear skin over their eyes, like that certain species of frog. Anyways, all and all, I decided to draw a REAL mermaid, and I like it a lot better, but everyone else is really grossed out. :: oh well, at least flannigan liked it. Well, most of it. Said my shading was lazy.
