Named after Huracan, the Storm and fire god, one of the creator deities.
Untested in combat, her crew's pride and determination quickly made her one of the ships to be on, if one desired a fast tracked carrier.
Based off the Galactica class, but fitted with much newer hardware.
Her latest refit involved the addition of additional battleplate, and added weapons systems, including 8 guided munitions capable turrets, as part of an experimental refit. She would later be sent to the newly colonized world Sanctuary, to serve as part of an 8 ship defense force.

Also, I thought I'd let you know something I uncovered. Ships like the Galactica are actually called Jupiter-class Battlestars, I read it up on the Battlestar Wiki, and it said this:
"In the 10th Chapter of 'The Science of Battlestar Galactica' Galactica is refered to as a Jupiter-class battlestar by the VFX artist who designed her."

I cant wait to see what other designs luc comes up with, I rather enjoy making customs based on his ships, they seem tailor made for modding, and, I swear, if I didnt know any better, that he was deliberately making it easy for me, lol.

most of the credit goes to Luc, I just followed his lead with a natural progression of the design.
the two armor styles do, I think, work quite well together.

Nice ship. 80 I like the diagonals in the armor, it's a nice break from all the verticals and horizontals usually seen on these things.

thats what drew me to the base frame this one was done from, that and I kinda wanted to see how it would look with my typical uparmor scheme, and I must say, I'm very pleased with the end result.
believe it or not, picking a name for this ship was the hard part, lol.
and winding up in search result land on wikipedia only left me feeling most relieved when I found that name.

cool ship, but the bull plating colours seem weird to me.

well, I wanted to try something different from my standard uparmor colors, yeah, they look kinda weird, but, this ship does have some element of stealth built into her, so, the darker colors actually seem proper, in my opinion.
