It all starts the same
There's that one person
Who starts to make you feel
What you've never felt before
And after that
It's never the same

Time goes by
And not a minute passes
You wish they would look at you
The way you see them

Ask yourself;
How do I know?
It's simple, you see
I've seen it
And it still happens

At first
It made her happy
And it would stay that way
But soon enough
Things started to change

I watched her do this
How she would watch
Always from afar
But never say a thing
And I would watch

There's that look
I know it by heart,
Never could forget it;
Like something lost
But never owned
Like all hope is lost
And the sadness begins

I've been there countless times
Watched it firsthand
What this feeling does to her
And how long it's been happening

I see it one way
She sees it another
Never could agree on the subject
Because of this

And when I watch it
I get this feeling
Someone close to myself
Someone who can be so strong
They seem better
At hiding what they feel

But like I said
I've watched her look on
Watched that look come
And it always ends the same

I can only do so much
But there's the problem
I want to be able
To do more for her
But in the end
She can only help herself

Even though
I hate to say it
It's very much true
And I hate to say it
Because I constantly worry
What will
Or wont happen
