Description
This started as just me trying out the newer version of Photoshop, but I liked how it was turning out so I made it into a finished painting. It was a very intuitive process, with no preconceived notions. Since dragons are really familiar to me, I could really just focus on the process and joy of painting. It was really easy for me to get into the flow of painting for hours at a time. Unfortunately I didn't take enough breaks and injured my hands in the process. I feel your pain there! I often have to take breaks because of an old injury. It's just so easy to get immersed and forget to take care of yourself! 
Also I just love how calm this feels, it's really apparent how much you enjoyed painting this pretty creature. So nice!!

It was especially bad, because I had back pain that would wake me up at night. I'd work on this to distract myself from the pain until I got tired enough to go back to sleep, so I was working on it all day and night.

Thank you. Luckily I knew I needed to stop and not push myself, so my hands have been able to recover more quickly than previous times I've injured them.
