Description
The four versions of Serenity who was a princess of the Moon Kingdom during the Silver Millennium. Her closest friends are the Inner Senshi
Princess Serenity(Manga): In the manga, Serenity was fascinated by the Earth. Even though she was given orders not to go to the planet, she secretly visited there and met Prince Endymion . The two then fell in love, much to the dismay of the peasant Beryl whom was also in love with him.
During the Dark Kingdom 's attack which caused the Moon Kingdom's downfall, Prince Endymion died protecting Serenity. She fell into extreme grief due to Endymion's death and committed suicide. Serenity's mother, the Queen, sealed away the evil and the moon to save the rest of the solar system (as seen in Volume 3), though unfortunately, everyone involved on the moon perished. In Uranus' story, she, Neptune and Pluto arrived too late to help fight against Beryl and Metalia. Thus, they used the Talismans to awaken Saturn and destroy what's left of the Moon Kingdom at the cost of their lives.
Before her death, the Queen used the Silver Crystal to give her daughter and others another chance at life, hoping in particular that, this time, Serenity and Endymion could find happiness together.
Princess Serenity shares the same appearance with her reincarnation, Usagi Tsukino; she has blue eyes, long hair styled in two buns with flowing pigtails (though her hair was a silvery-white color as opposed to Usagi's blonde), and a golden crescent moon on her forehead to mark her status as a member of the royal family of the Silver Millennium.
Serenity wore a white flowing gown with white shoulder pieces disconnected from her dress, an intricately decorated bodice with gold hoops, with the bust defined by a row of golden beads. Trailing at the back, was a white gauzy bow with long fluttery ribbons. She also wore golden spiral earrings and a golden beaded bracelet on her right wrist.
From what was seen of Princess Serenity in flashbacks, she was shown to have a personality similar to her reincarnation , being somewhat of a crybaby who loved to spend time with her friends and with the boy she loved, along with shirking her studies to goof off.
Princess Serenity(Classic Anime): Princess Serenity was the Princess of the Moon and would often sneak down to Earth where she had met and fallen madly in love with Prince Endymion. When the war escalated between the two kingdoms, Endymion swore to aid Queen Serenity to defend her kingdom and people from the evil invasion from Queen Beryl, who was working with the evil universal force, Metalia, Sadly, Serenity was murdered along with Endymion.
After Queen Serenity utilized the full strength of the Silver Crystal to seal way Queen Metalia, she also had Serenity, her guardians, and her lover reincarnated on Earth to live happy lives. In the final battle against the Dark Kingdom, Usagi takes on Serenity's appearance and using the Silver Crystal and the combined powers of her friends, she can defeat Super Beryl . But as a consequence of using the crystal, she dies but is eventually resurrected, though without the memories of being a Sailor Senshi.
Princess Serenity shares the same appearance with her reincarnation, Usagi Tsukino; she has blue eyes, long blonde hair styled in two buns with flowing pigtails, and a golden crescent moon on her forehead to mark her status as a member of the royal family of the Silver Millennium.

At climactic moments in the series, Usagi as Serenity sometimes gains a pair of functioning angelic wings. She does this during the final battle of Sailor Moon SuperS , to save Chibiusa when the two of them encounter Pegasus and also in the fifth and last season, during the fight with the fully-possessed Galaxia (now Chaos Galaxia) when she grabs the Sword of Sealing . It is unclear if this ability came from her past life, is Usagi's power, or came from Eternal Sailor Chibi Chibi or Sailor Cosmos herself and the Sword of Sealing.
Princess Serenity(Live Action Version): In this version, the destruction of the Earth Kingdom and the Moon Kingdom was caused by her, in her sorrow over Prince Endymion's death. According to Minako , Serenity used to be a kind and peaceful girl, much like Usagi in her present incarnation, but that changed after the death of Endymion, making her cold and ruthless and always believe that her and Endymion's destiny was only to separate, even if they were born on the same planet, Earth.
After the Princess within Usagi was awakened, she began to slowly take over and took control of Usagi's body when she was suffering from sadness, loneliness, or anger. When Mamoru was threatened, Usagi would transform into Princess Sailor Moon against her will. It was clear that Serenity had full control of Princess Sailor Moon, leading to an internal conflict with Usagi for the remainder of the series.
Serenity selfishly refused to see the consequences of her actions that it would have on Earth, claiming that she has no qualms in destroying the Earth if Endymion was ever taken away from her. Usagi underwent endurance training to keep both her and the Silver Crystal in line. For a while, she was successful in keeping both the crystal and Serenity at bay. However, when Usagi was forced to kill off a possessed Mamoru , Princess Serenity overcame her resistance, transformed into Princess Sailor Moon and successfully destroyed the planet. Eventually, she realized the full extent of the consequences it brought her when she ignored Usagi's warning by destroying the planet and grieved the loss of life on Earth. Upon seeing Endymion who encouraged her to use the Silver Crystal again to reverse the destruction, Serenity did out of love and finally made peace with Usagi. The Sailor Guardians lost their power to transform as the Silver Crystal was destroyed but in the Special Act, Queen Serenity sent a sword to Earth that would give the Sailor Guardians their powers back for one day.
Just like Usagi in this continuity of the series, Serenity has black hair, which is let down as opposed to buns. This emphasizes the ambiguity of her identity before it is revealed that she is Usagi. Additionally, her dress is less ornate than in her anime and manga incarnations, notably lacking sleeves and a waist embellishment. Instead, it has light pink rose embellishments on the top of her dress.
Princess Serenity(Crystal Version): In the manga, Serenity was fascinated by the Earth. Even though she was given orders not to go to the planet, she secretly visited there and met Prince Endymion. The two then fell in love.

Mamoru also has constant dreams about a girl asking him to find the Silver Crystal. It is revealed in episode 9 that Princess Serenity's present incarnation is Usagi Tsukino .

During the Dark Kingdom's attack, the catalyst of the Moon Kingdom's downfall, Prince Endymion died protecting Serenity, and out of sorrow, she committed suicide. Serenity's mother, the Moon Queen, sealed away the evil forces of the Dark Kingdom, but as a result, the Moon Kingdom turned into stone, and Earth's history had to be restarted. Before her own death, the Queen used the Silver Crystal to give her daughter and others a second chance of rebirth, hoping in particular that, this time, Serenity and Endymion could find happiness together. As a result, Serenity's spirit was reborn and reincarnated in 21st century Earth as Usagi Tsukino.
Infinity arcAfter Sailor Pluto destroyed Tellu , Sailor Moon transformed into Princess Serenity. The Outers formally introduced themselves and asked them why the Inner and Outer Senshi could not work together. The Outers apologized to Serenity for failing in their mission in preventing the Death Busters from infiltrating the Solar System and attacking Earth. They told them that it is their problem, and the other Sailor Senshi and Serenity will get in the way and get hurt. They also told her their ultimate mission is to destroy the Deity of Destruction . However, the Outers soon learn the Inner Senshi and Serenity have the same goals and work together
