Looks a little like Billy Holiday- She had an awesome voice. I was friends with an older women who had a picture of herself and Billy Holiday along with Louis Armstrong! I thought that was amazing!. She just passed about 6 months ago at 95yrs.
I love the historic look in your rendering, she looks so real! Excellent job!
Here is another inspiration from that era - Nat King Cole with - ''When I Fall In Love''

'' When I fall in love, .... it will be forever
Or I'll never fall... in love
In a restless world like this is
Love is ended before it's begun
And too many moonlight kisses
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun

When I give my heart,... it will be completely
Or I'll never give my heart
And the moment I can feel that ..' you feel that way too
Is ... when I fall in love with you

And the moment.... I can feel that ... you feel that way too
Is ...when I fall in love... with you! ''

Tribute to the best 3D Artist on the web!

Of course I know and love the songs of Billie Holiday and I know and love this song from Nat King Cole.
Thank you very much! Β

This image was actually inspired by Dorothy Dandridge, a beautiful actress (and singer too) of this era.

Gorgeous work. It does capture that style and yet seems timeless, a beauty of any age.

Β This is actually not a painting; it's a 3d render.

As always excellent lighting. I like also a material of skin and a medallion on a breast.
I will dare to make the small remark. The body of the girl is turned to the left part of drawing. Therefore, at the left it is necessary to make more space. And also more space over the head is necessary. These are the general rules of composition.

For some reason I had the weird idea, there is a balance in the composition between the figure and the shadow. I was wrong.
Truly not my best image; thank you very much for the comment!

Β
Your vintage portraits are a delight to view, Simone.
Β Β This one is spot on for the era.

There is a late day / early evening intimacy brought across through the desaturated warmth which engages the senses.

Β Β And Her .. she's captivatingly gorgeous.

This is sweetly crafted.

With warm regard,

Terry
