I almost never draw men and I have been kind of on a kick lately. It was my friend Carly who started it. She commisioned me to do her character Adrian.
So I like this. I contrast enhanced it cause the scanned washe dit out terribly. I picked up some of the pencil marks but it looks almost right.

Wonderful study in dark and light, with a nice chiascuro effect. You really have it down, describing the mass and musculature. Lovely -- I had to +fave it.

the whole picture had very little defintion, just a bunch of highs and lows. we went back and forth if I could draw it or not. and finally he said yes.

You can almost see the motion in this one, he doesn't look static at all.

Great work as always. Good choice of pose--it conveys masculine strength and sexuality--with dramatic lighting. His left triceps looks a tad off; the tendon that runs down on the left needs more definition, I think.

The triceps muscle is the big one on the upper back of the arm, which works in opposition to the biceps. If you flex it, you can see the big tendons that run down towards the elbow. (Btw, I noticed part of your sig is cut off--I think there's a limit of 255 characters.)

I see that you know it doesn't look like that in the picture It's something that came up in the glare and the contrast enhancement. I am not sure if I can fix it. I am pretty terrible with the paintshop. I'll give it a shot.

I drew it how I saw it but it might. I am not going to look at it again fro a day or two then I can see what I did wrong. It hasn't been fixatived yet, so there is a possibility of improvement.
