Description So, I spent more than two weeks in the hospital with sinusitis. But, fortunately, the gift of time is not lost, and problems such as studies, did not interfere. So I dedicated some time to drawing. So, the first job is Scylla , a monster from "the Odyssey" by Homer, the ancient Greek storyteller. It met Odysseus on his return to his native Ithaca. The dragon-like monster depicted by Homer's description - twelve-feet monster with six necks and shaggy on the shoulders. And added: in particular the shape of the head has absorbed something from gorgonopsid. Well I could not resist the temptation to add to the appearance of Scylla something from actual prehistoric monsters. For not very good quality responsible scanner.

unfortunately this is just the mainstream apearence of scyla the real one (first representation) is that of a girl with the lower half of the body turned into a 7 heads dog, the dragonian apearence was given by homer beacuse he wanted more chalenge for Odiseus and remained the most known representation of scyla

Alas, while drawing I forgot about it. Β Although this is mainstreamy the way it looks to me better than the original version from the works of Homer.Β Β

you got me wrong, this is homer's representation of Scylla, the one with the woman body is older than Homer's and appeared on pottery long before Homer even thinking on writing the odyssey
