Description
This knife is at my wrist,
I can not feel its pain,
It’s the feeling that’s inside me,
That’s come around again.

I’ve been broken,
Beat,
Hurt beyond repair,
Back stabbed,
And cheated
But nothing can compare,
To the nightmare that haunts me,
It follows me everyday,
The thought that I’m not good enough,
For much of anything.

At my funeral,
Who will be there?
Who will put me in the ground?
Who will cry over my dead body?
Who will never make a sound?

No sound at all is what I fear,
Not one will shed a tear,
My life, deemed meaningless,
Will quickly disappear,
Forgotten in the shadows,
Covered in fine dust,
I will become a tombstone,
Unloved, as is my luck.

No one to anybody,
But a name upon a rock.

I see my future, sadly,
As a true and sad tale,
My greatest fear's
my future,
I will become what I most fear,

I will be forgotten.
