red riding hood quickie draw.. still experimenting with basic colors and brushes... this was fun, probably about 40 minutes... idkedit: forgot to add that i did this on 1 layer with PS 7 and a wacom volito 2.

how do you get such clear and concise lines with such drastic line variation? Also how do you get the textures you've got in the backgrounds (if you don't mind

sorry for the late reply! i usually use varying brushes at a very large resolution - this usually helps to keep the crispness you'd want from your lines. (at least for me anyway) the textures are seperate images, put on a new layer over top the original colors/lineart, that then have the layer mode changed. usually i play around with the different looks, between multiply, color dodge - and other settings like that.
