What is the most important part of space combat? Many might say Mechs but this is up for debate. Many say that Space stations and battleships play an even more important role to space combat than Mechs, but receive much less recognition. The Galaxy Destroyer is Crystosis Corps attempt at closing the power gap between Mechs and battleships. The Galaxy Destroyer falls into the class of a giga-mech similar to the 466 Godform. While the Godform specializes at area control and often serves as a mobile command center, the Galaxy Destroyer is made specifically for space combat. The Galaxy Destroyer does fall short of the sheer fire power of a battleship but has advantages such as speed, maneuverability, and adaptability. As such it serves best as a support craft. The Galaxy Destroyer only requires a crew of 5 pilots which is much less than the hundreds-thousands required for a battleship. To be able to contend with battleships and space stations the Galaxy Destroyer has a very impressive arsenal. It has 12 inches macro-titanium overlayed with a quarter inch of synthasys. It’s powered by 6 nuclear reactors, that power a whopping grade 6 energy shield, something only seen on battleships. Imbedded in its hands are heavy battleship laser canons capable of tearing through the thick armor of a battleship or battle station. But while the Galaxy Destroyer has 2 of these canons typical battleships have 6-12. It also has a gravity generator capable or hurling space objects such as comets or asteroids, or crushing enemy Mechs under immense pressure. This gives it unique control over the battlefield.The Galaxy Destoyer is less expensive than traditional battleships but it is much more expensive than regular Mechs and it is yet untested, and so only 3 have been produced by Crystosis Corp. Should any large conflicts erupt involving Crystosis we may yet see what their latest giga-mech is capable of.
