Description
Here is how I would depict the famous tyrant lizard king. The body and skull are mostly based off Sue. The body integument is just plain basement scales as mentioned by Bell et al 2017. The face is both based on Carr et al 2017 and Cullen et al 2023. I speculate it can kinda go both ways when it comes to the issue of lips now, as Cullen did make a fairly compelling argument. But at the same time there is also the fact that the lower teeth would have been concealed in "tooth sockets" which would mean most of the teeth would remain protected. I also think that there still could be room for sense organs (considering that Carr's paper wasn't the only one to come to the conclusion) But despite this animal being studied for well over a century now, we still learn new things about this animal.
