It got a DD because someone submitted it to be a DD. If you'd like to see something else get a DD then suggest it to a Community Volunteer.

DD shouldnt really be determined by if you pay money or be a super active volunteer. It should be based on whether your stuff is worth putting up. Just sayin

I have no idea what a daily deviation is or how one gets it. It was "awarded" (?) to me overnight by someone who, I think, is a volunteer on DA. I'm not really complaining, but it comes as a bit of a surprise because I only uploaded this stuff to DA to serve as a portfolio for convention applications. I wasn't really planning on actively using this page, but it's gotten a lot of attention thanks to that DD :\
So yeah, I definitely didn't ASK (or pay) for it, haha.

xelzor did not pay anyone, neither he is a volunteer.
Daily Deviations are chosen by GMs, Gallery Moderators, to whom Daily Deviations can be suggested. It's up to the corresponding GM to whether a piece gets featured as a DD or not.

These are cool~ -- do you ever go to conventions in the US? I've been kicking around the idea of trying to go to Anime North (in Toronto) one of these years. Not sure how it is in Canada, but LEGO stuff (from jewelry to sprites) gets a lot of attention at events down here.

I havent been to any US conventions ive done mostly farmers markets, pop culture fairs and music festivals in canada but I would like to branch out once I am finished school
I have been wanting to start hitting the anime conventions also since I am huge into cosplay - i have pics on here if you are interested

These Lego sculptures you've done of Blastoise and Charizard look very nice, and I can tell the images of them are actually from "Pokemon: Yellow Version" as well!

That is true! When I do Pokemon, it's usually from either Yellow or Silver (just has to do with the way the sprites were designed in those games.)
