Description Obviously inspired by the battle tech universe. I tried to model the Marauder MkII, but ended up mit a custom one because of lazyness ^^ Also because the original looks fairly weird.

Blender 2.70, rendered with Cycles

I am actually most impressed with the Overlord dropship in the back, did you do that model yourself?

Due to the continuity of the ground, I think the attempt at an optical illusion of scale failed for the drop ship. It might work if it were parked on the other side of the ridge in the background, or scale it up 10 or 20x but as it is, the drop ship just looks puny. Other than that, the design of the Marauder, the lighting, textures and the sharp shadows of a vacuum are near perfect.

Thanks for critquing!

I actually never researched how big the dropship should be in comparison to the mech, and it never caught my attention. But you're right, it's actually too small. However, I don't know if I can change that without altering the whole composition of the image. I might try it, but maybe it can't be changed now.

Still, thanks for pointing it out!
