Thranduil doesn’t dance: well, not often, and when he does it’s with great reluctance. Or at someone else’s insistence. And if he danced back in the First Age, his skills are probably a bit rusty by now. Tauriel's being a good sport about it.

Thank you so much! I love adding little details to hair and clothing; it's something I'm slowly but successfully cultivating the patience for.

...this is actually an adorable sketch, and an interesting ship that I'm not sure how I feel about but it has it's merit, how odd.  XD

It's a ship that could work if you look at it sideways and backwards, perhaps. And thank you so much for your comment! Expressiveness is the absolute most important element in a piece of art for me, because it does so much to humanize and connect with whatever your subject is, so that's wonderful to hear.

It's a ship with potential is what it is.   (I don't suppose age differences are worth anything with elves)

No problem!  It's been really fun seeing your art develop over the past year as you post bit by bit, and it's just been lovely.  I love your simplicity in presentation and your accuracy in expressing emotions, and it's just downright inspiring.   Keep it up!
