There are lots of theories as to how their relationship got started, and plenty more as to why Tenzin would choose her over Lin Beifong, but I think that (certain details and aspects notwithstanding) Pema was rather like the Anna Snitkina to Tenzinβs Fydor Dostoyevsky: a generous-hearted and cheerful younger woman encountering a severe, quiet, lonely older man who was striving to do his best with the talents he had.Then she stepped unassumingly, unexpectedly in, and the happiness she brought with her surprised them both.

What bothers me about Pema isn't the fact that Tenzin chose her over Lin (let's face it, Linzin could never manage to be as awesome as Taang!) but the fact that she confessed her love to him while he was still with Lin! That's what really got me! It was wrong, just plain and simple wrong. She should have waited until Tenzin and Lin broke up before making her move. That's really what gets me upset about her character, and consequently the "great advice" she gave Korra which gave us the abominable triangle we got in the show =\
But anyway, lovely drawing, as always ^^

I honestly don't give a damn what anyone says, I love Pema and they need to get the f*** over Tenzin and Lin breaking up and him choosing Pema over Lin already. Seriously.
