I wonder what that Turian is saying to the human audience of the Human race?

Why is it the every alien race that Humanity encounters either perceives us as a threat first and attacks, or sees us manipulable and deceives us? Was it something we said?

Good question? Xenocentricism? Meeting a new intelligent race of civilized organisms completely and totally different from your own makes you either afraid of them due to the unknown from initial lack of knowledge of them, or that you think they are solely special and superior in all existence to any other living thing both sentient or not that is not worthy of your respect and trust.

Aren't we all still sentient in the end? People deserving of humility?

True. But, still. Some people, no matter what sentient civilized species of the cosmos, can be as arrogant and ignorant as other being humble and shrewd.

At least in the end, no one can say you didn't try once you've done so.

True. Just like the Citadel Council races tried to greet the Yahg in peaceful first contact. Instead, the Council diplomats were instantly eaten alive by the Yahg the moment they regarded them as equals.

Hey, you got to get the ball rolling somehow, correct? I mean, you're not implying that we should stay in our own little bubbles and never leave or experience the outside, or other life forms (not necessarily aliens of course) for that matter, are you?

Cerberus and Terra Firma were like the only two entities that made me facepalm at their antics and tactics throughout the games. I wonder why they never had a side mission where you supported a political group that favored Xeno-Unity, as oppose to supporting Terra Firma in Mass Effect 1?

The thing is that the game's story for Humanity's then recently new involvement in the Milky Way Galaxy was neutral since the game's history just had us in war with the Turians who had accidentally started it with us. We were winning over the Turians that never before knew defeat, but it was stopped in a armistice by Citadel Council diplomacy. So, Humanity had work on establishing a representative image to itself to show we are not a hostile and reckless race that the Turians should have been allowed or even help to put us under submission as a client Citadel race, or even exclusively that of the Turians, to police. However, the stigma of that was already there with how we were able to challenge the once invincible Turian military that acts as the Citadel's leading galactic armed forces on both sides. Some Turians like Saren are bitter and hateful at the humiliation of his race unable to conquer another while some Humans like the Illusive Man feel that since we were attacked by the aliens then we have every right to stand guard against them as well we were winning over them feeling we should have had finished the fight and earn our victory to show we are powerful instead weak.

Very nice!! love the shading and cross-hatching! I love how the tv screen showed the scary side of the turians, indicating the encouragement of the war.
