Description My niece Emalee wanted a Zelda plushie, so I did my best to bust one out. I didn't feel up to par to make a Zelda based on the Brawl or Twilight Princess design, so I went with the simpler Spirit Tracks version. I used tutorials/patterns for the body, hair, and boots provided by the ever-awesome *AshFantastic while I experimented on everything else.

Materials: Felt, embroidery thread, pipe cleaners, craft jewels, craft beads, poly-fil.

Gripes: If I ever make a plushie like this again, I'm NOT going to try to embroider the sash - it takes waaaay too long, and I don't have the patience for the fine details. Also, I'd use craft foam for the parts that are supposed to be gold instead of felt (crown, belt, collar).

It wasn't until I was finished with the gown that I noticed Zelda's skirt is actually a shade of lavender or lilac (purplish) rather than the sugary pink I'd made it. Darn. =\

The hair tutorial was really helpful, but I realize that that style works a lot better with fake fur than felt (too stiff).

Oh well! All things considered, I think it's okie!

Well, I made the body using AshFantastic 's Long Doll Silver pattern, and she also has tons of great tutorials for making clothes, hair, shoes, etc.

sakkysa and pheleon have some great patterns and tutorials, too. Good luck!

She's about 11" tall, but she was a gift for my niece. I'm willing to commission another if you're interested. Send me a note.

If it wasn't for your epic tutorials, they'd just be a scraps of felt in a vague boot-shape.
