Description So I JUST started Voyager season 4, and THANK GOD 7 of 9 has arrived!!! I wonder if it is any coincidence that Kes left the show at the same moment? They tried to vamp Kes up, but she went from wearing a Peter Pan wig to a Hollywood starlet wig.

Speaking of wigs...I thought I had some Poser hair that would have worked better. I ended up using "Action Hair", which worked, but it has a ponytail. Any suggestions?

This picture uses the Voyager Knights textures by orion1167. I just checked, and apparently, it is no longer available.

Thanks!
I'm still struggling to find a better hair prop. One of these days I'll learn how to make my own

Thank you very much
I got the texture from Renderosity. It isn't available any more, so I'm glad I got it when I did.

Thanks
The basic texture was pretty good on its own, but I added some glitter and shine for good measure. Renderosity had a bunch of good 3D Celebrity morphs, but I think most of them are gone now.

Probably because of licensing. Creating a Celebrity likeness without permission can get you in a lot of trouble if they want to be mean about it. It's not because of what you intend to do with it, but what you could. Like sell it and not give them a share. I will have to check out what Renderosity has again. I have been buying from my wish list for so long I have no idea of what they have that is new. Thanks.

Thanks Cup-elli
Poser is indeed a pain in the butt, but fun once you've figured out how to maneuver in it. I've been poking around with it for a few years now and haven't really scratched the surface. There are a few books out there, but they don't help much. The best resources are the forums on renderosity, runtimedna, and such. One of these days, I'll get around to taking some 3D classes, which will help A LOT.

What did you do to learn Poser? As I told Cup-elli, I haven't been too blown away by the books that are available, and mostly refer to the forums. I would like to expand my knowledge of Poser so that I can do more than make shiny nylons
Do you know of any Poser training guides like the "Hands On Training" or "Classroom in a Book" series?

Your already on the same track as I was, forums, tutorials and a lot of goffing with it! I haven't found any books on Poser that would help me, and I've looked!

Thanks PH
The hardest thing about Poser for somebody just beginning is knowing where to start. I remember when I first got it a few years back. I just sort of stared at it and started clicking, worried that I was going to break it.
I don't have any real 3D modeling experience, so the material room might as well have been in Greek. I learned from bagginsbill in the renderosity forums how to simulate nylons, and that's about as far as I've made it.
I would like to learn how to switch geometries so 7 of 9 can have shoes for feet. I've been having some problems getting her feet to look just right. I'll post and example later.

What I did was use a sample of her catsuit for a boot texture, put low boots on her and used the clone brush in post work so it was seamless. Unfortunately I never posted any of the renders because my hd crashed and I lost them. On the good side I'd forgotten all about them until I was typing this! Gonna have to get to work now! (lol)

That's basically what I did for Take 2

It would be nice to have a V3, V4, TG model that had those geometries built in. I did a mock-up of a scifi comic for my final Photoshop project. The comic never got to that point, but it would be cool to quickly render that sort of figure without all of the touch-up to the feet. That reminds me, I've been meaning to post those pages...
