"The MerDragons live on a distant island, but nest on the sea floor in a volcanic chasm where their eggs mature in the fiery sea warmth. They're a cross between MerPonies and DragonPonies. Once hatched the foals are rush to the surface for their first breath and their first flight as they look for someone to imprint on. That pony or person they first meet will be their caretaker until they are grown."

This is one of the breeds found on PonyIsland (which I was part of but forgot to sign up to properly ). The original lineart is just a bit bigger than A4, so I had to do two scans to get the whole thing in.

This was more a go at drawing different types of pony and experimenting with effects
