Skulltrail is now live... download the beta and take it for a spin.Notes:
- Known bugs
1. Not really a bug but more of an annoyance, some tabs display text that is darker than I'd like them to be. Currently, there's no way to change their colors.
Please report others
- My Recommendations
1. Player: Microsoft's Zune goes well with Skulltrail
2. Web Browser: Google Chrome, but Firefox (unmodified) works well

Update - 5/17/2010
Beta II fixes a problem 32-bit (and some 64-bit) users were having. If your version was affected by a mysterious white box in the folder band, on the hover images for the unlit taskbar icons, and on the intermediate progress image, please re-download and apply this pack.
Work on the final theme, the light version, and implementation of various suggestions will occur after I'm satisfied that the beta is free of fixable bugs.

Also, is there a way to fix the window frames? The frames themselves are transparent while the close/minimize/maximize buttons and URI bars are opaque, creating a pretty ugly effect...

I've also got a bug... After a while (maybe 1 hour of using it) it suddenly reverts to windows basic.... and the taskband and startmenu changes color. Using 7 64-bit

Hi, awesome theme! However, I think I've encountered a new bug. I use a 'Creative! SoundBlaster X-Fi Go Pro' USB sound device. I'm not entirely sure which file it is, but either shell.dll or timedate.cpl causes this particular sound card to disable all of it's special effects, even if they show that they are enabled. THX effects won't work, Equalizer doesn't work, etc. I know for a fact that it is one of those two files. I tried reinstalling my sound drivers, all forms of troubleshooting, with no change. Upon replacing those two original system files, my sound returned to normal. If you have any way of being able to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated, as I would enjoy using this theme. As it stands, I'm unable to.

If your having problems installing this, i recommend using Theme Manager (search for it here) and that worked perfectly for me.

I like your theme, but are you going to ever update it? Are you going to ever fix the color of the properties area of a file? Will this ever come out of beta? It's been a long time since I used it, but I want to use it again. I think there are some deviants that know how to fix the properties dialog color or MS Word. I usually have to fix MS Word manually.

I have an issue where the theme also changes the default page color for Microsoft Word to the theme's color. I can change it back, but it would be pretty annoying to do so every single time I make a new doc.

Very nice theme! but maybe make it a little more brighter because it strains eyes, a big difference between white and dark. And it can to solve problem in some tabs displaying dark text.

Got it to work after some time..
I think the theme is all around very impressive.
I do think, too, that the start menu is very out of place.
It would be perfect if it were to be consistent with the rest of the theme (black, blue and white).
I am looking very much forward to updates to this theme

i have changed the system files but see no change in the start orb icon and the navigation icons.. please help!!

After replacing the system files you need to log out (or reboot) your computer to make it work.

dunno why but no matter what i do, i can not get this theme to work at all. iv tried everything possible and it just wont go into the actual theme, it cuts off and just brings up the start icon and everything else is just the white areo theme...i would love to use this theme but i cant =/

How can i change shell ? Whenever i try to change my shell my os (Win 7) always changes them back to their original state . Is there any utility that i can use and change shells and all the files are in this pack ? I would really love some instruction .

It's great, except ONE thing that's going to keep me from dling it.... The start menu is just.... Out of place. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the rest of it, but when I got to the start menu I just cringed... It sticks out like a sore thumb.. Make it tie into the rest of the theme and I will happily download and use this as my theme
