I assume you're talking about the innocent childish flirting with Peter Pan? I don't think that is such a big deal- it just adds a twist to the plot allowing Wendy to be jealous of the relationship between Peter Pan and Tiger Lily, just as Tinkerbell is jealous of Wendy and Peter....

Actually in this controversy, Tiger Lily is far from alone. Every negative Native American stereotype besides gambling and alcoholism is presented here. How you may ask. How about using the words "Paleface", "Injun", "Squaw", and "How" (although I don't see the problem with that last one) during "What makes the red man red"? How about glorification of Native American women as sexy and exotic? Tiger Lily was certainly doing her part to make this worse, but she's far from alone.
Luckily, that was in 1953. Disney has smartened up since then, and made Pocahontas to redeem themselves (no matter what some others may say). Unfortunately, as long as "What makes the Red Man Red" is there, it will forever be a black mark for Disney.
PS: Yes, I know that Brown V. Board of Education was still a year away when this was made. It just hasn't aged well.

Totally agree with all that you are saying- however I am just emphasising the fact that TigerLily as a child's animated cartoon does not receive enough 'love' or fan art, whether this art be positive or negative. Tigerlily (to an innocent child) provides a female indian character for children to be when playing indian's and pirates in what can become an altogether mucho game which can only involve boys... I know she isn't a role model, but she is just character to little girls

no, you don't understand. if you see the official disney princess site, there's poca and mulan in the group . it's true that they appear less than the others disney princess..but they're official
