Description Land Theme: "Sungazer” ~ Two Steps from Hell

For this Land, the name turned out to be pretty easy, but visualizing the landscape was more difficult than I thought it would be. I think this is the longest I’ve spent on one of these pics yet!

LOSAT is ridged with craggy, odd, geological formations that pass for the planet’s mountain ranges. Lush valleys filled with flora of every kind carpet the valleys, peppered by large settlements of the Land’s consorts, which, in this case, are cats. The stones these settlements are built of have an inherent charge of (harmless) radioactive energy contained in their atomic structure. If placed together in the correct way, the stones are able to power the very buildings they make up, the electric current sometimes creating glowing geometric patterns on the surface. (You can’t see them on the mountains here because they’re so far away. ) This radiation so saturates the planet that it will occasionally react off the air molecules in the atmosphere, producing large light displays of sparking energy in the sky. This is a nod to a common building trend Londinium is known for, building structures with the most advanced materials, but designing them to look like stone.

I got the “Sparks” part of the title partially from the idiom “a spark of inspiration,” and Hope is, in essence, inspiration. Sparks are also a physical form of electricity, which power machinery and electronics, a strong suit of Londinium’s. A theory is set of rational assumptions, principles, or circumstances that attempt to explain observable phenomena in the world around us. In other words, they’re possibilities, usually used in a scientific environment. Hope, again, is all about possibilities, and there’s the scientific element again comes into play.

Oh my gosh, I just love those bright Tron lines! <3

They make the sky look beautiful and atmospheric.  And I love how you did the clouds!
