Did you go to any art schools? If you did go to a college may I ask what the focus was on? Thats my current problem, Im scared that if I go to an art college Ill leave unemployed and unable to leave my parents, which would be a giant problem. on the other hand, if I choose to study something else, like computer engineering, would I be happy? and if I wasent happy, I would probably wish I studied art. Im very confused and scared of the future, so im trying to get as much advice as I can get as I dont have a person to go to for advice.

I see, look man I really want to help you, because I know what it feel. I go to artschool, but I focused on graphic design, if you ask me, IT'S A WRONG MOVE. I kinda regret it but I kinda dont. My mistake was I didn't do my research about my artschool. When I was about to graduate from high school, I just want to go to any artschool in my country. I didnt do any research on what that school teach or whatsoever. So in 2016 I realized that I kinda in the wrong path in terms of school. So I said to myself, "I will not do much effort on my school assignments because none of them will go into my portfolio. I will make my own personal project and work my ass on it."
Then, I did a lot of research then about what happen in the real concept art industry. Read some articles, listen to podcast from the power player of the concept art industry. And my advice to you is that, dont just go to artschool if you dont know what to do. Set a goal on what you really want to be. If you have money, or at least you parents help to pay it, go to Art Center, that's the best. If you dont have $120k to blow, just dont! There are tons of online class that are really good, like CDMA, Gnomon, etc. Or you could just buy Maciej's gumroad, John Sweeney's Gumroad, and Eytan Zana's Gumroad. That's it, for $100 you have everything and you go from there. If you paint for like 90 hours a week, you're on the right path. The trick is that, you have to be sure that this is what you're going to do, set goal, set you schedule. I dont care if it will take me 5 years or 10 years to be a professionals, I will do it. I dont have another carreer path. A lot of people like, "Ohh I'll try to study concept art for like 1 year, and if it's not working, I'll work in McDonalds, or be a lawyer." It doesn't work like that. You know Maciej Kuciara? He dropped out from electrical engineering school and worked as a janitor while he was learning concept art and digital painting. And he was poor as fuck. His parents was a potato farmer. And look at what he has become. When it comes to art, no one gives a shit where you graduated from. Your work speaks for you. Except if you need visa to go to USA, then yeah you need a degree. But still, you can get it by just getting good. Just worry about getting good man!

Thank you so much for that advice. I Believe i'll try going to the college near me that offers realistic painting as a four year study, It would be super cheap but I still need to do some research, like you said, on the quality of the actual education, and whether or not id be able to find work afterwards.
