Description
so here are some characters from a comic becky and i were working on together in high school. its supposed to be some sort of a western, mystery, horror, supernatural drama. i totally stink at drawing that sort of stuff so i never got very far with these characters or story. i was hiking in arizona over the weekend so i got kind of motivated to take another stab at drawing them. someday i hope i can muster enough skill to work on this story.Related content

The character designs remind me of Wild ARMS. As that is my favorite video game series, this is a very good thing! I remember you talking about this a long time ago!

Yeah...definetely, and the music was great! I love the part where Mariel (the Elw girl) lets those shiny embers of magic go...the music and animation sync up so well....AH! I gotta go play that game now!!

actually the thought of a full color comic never occurred to me. so much more to consider when you're making a page composition...seems really difficult. there's very few color comics i actually liked the look of as much as black and white.

i'm not so good at rendering technical stuff like guns so i'm gonna pretend they have their own unique mods. the girl, myette has something i based off a Freedom Arms model 83, dante in the foreground, has something modelled after a Ruger Blackhawk, and Skye, the guy with huge bags under his eyes in the back, has something like a Benelli Autoloader. i don't know much about guns but i did a little basic research. probably made a bunch of the stuff wrong

i decided skye needed to look more messed up. trying to get him away from the pretty boy thing. old habits die hard though. hehe. myette is way too dolled up, but i felt like playing around.

thanks~ i'd love to do this story someday, since i love western themes and spooky stuff. i might try writing it as an illustrated novel in my spare time. i have too many project ideas...errgh.

i think conveying horror and suspense has to be one of the hardest things to do in sequenical art. i think i need to research and play more silent hill series. kekeke~
