The Equines of Sedo did not typically have permanent settlements. Finding a cave, however small the entrance, especially one so far off the ground was a stroke of luck for Lyall. Goats being goats, could easily scale the steep cliff-side to join him and most did. With a view of the surrounding landscape, it's an ideal place to rest.
