Description After visiting the magnificent Zhang Jia Jie and experiencing the exiting Feng Huang, we moved on to rest in beautiful and tranquil village of De Hang. It is surprising that such a magical place is still devoid of tourists. I hope it stays that way. The small village is build high up in the mountains, exactly on the spot where four huge valleys meet. Keeping with the Miao minority spirit, it is build around a river that serves as a irrigation source for the fields, a fishing place, and a way to cool down during those warm and humid summer days. It is the natural centre of life in the village. From the quiet mornings spent on washing the vegetables, through the sunny noons spent on catching the fish, all the way to the evenings when the kids come out and play along the banks, there is always something happening by the waterside.

I particularly loved to walk along the valleys, probably because it reminded me of my childhood imagination of a magical place, kind of a Hobbiton in a real world.

I like the perspective and lightness of this one. The green looks lovely with the gray road and the path simply begs one for a stroll.
