Description ...For all the world to see

Trying to work on values, then it turned into skin practice. Tried a new way to shade.

I found bringing the ref image in Photoshop helps, other than looking back and forth between a browser and your document. I also tried doing two sketches, the second sketch comes out a lot better and you don't have to guess so much when you paint.

The brush I used this time was a slightly flattened round brush. It worked really well!

I'll keep practicing. I hope this helped someone

Beautiful practice painting. Flat round brush huh? I'll keep that in mind.

It's awesome! It's a great sketching brush too, it feels nicer than a round one.

Did you only use the flat brush btw?

Still I'll give it a shot.

Yeah basically. I couple times I tried to do a texture brush because I see so many other people painting with it, but I can never get used to it, so I just go back to the flat brush. I'll try and figure the texture brushes later.

Yeah I know how that feels. Just gotta keep messing with those brushes for a while. Eventually you get better, I believe. Just have fun with them in studies and it helps when learning how to use new brushes.

Yeah for real. I think I'll have a drawing where I'll just use texture brushes xD To force myself to learn them.
