God thats annoying.
What bothers me is not allowing images in the story. I know it'd go against the whole point of fanfic, but it'd be nice to have the option. Since illustrating key parts in the story would be so cool!

If that's any better, you can do that on dA. You can submit images to sta.sh and then embed them in the story itself.
