This is my entry to #[link] (I Love Animals) 'Birth' contest. I think this photo, (even know it does not show the foal being born) really shows the newness and baby-ish feel of the foal and Chelsea (the mare). The foal is new born in the picture and I think shows the bond between mother and baby really well. This was the first thing I thought of when I saw the contest.

This is a picture that my mom took at one of the stables I rode at 2 years ago (I'm back riding there again). The mare in the back's name is Chelsea and the foal in front is her's, but it does not have a name yet. I rode Chelsea on my birthday a couple years ago and I had not saw her since, and now she has a foal! The foal is a mule because it's daddy is a donkey.
