Well, this was made for ~ryalto and he recieved an unfinished version of this (background was still work in progress). Took a while to finish it up because I had other things to do. Anyhow, cheers mate!

The coongirl in this picture is Quinn Akaelae from the Cyantian Chronicles graphical novels ( [link] ) and is also spotted on Flinthoof's Roomies ( [link] ). She is courtesy of ~shivaesyke .

It is SUMMER, now get out there on the beach and play! ^_^

Had to keep it PG-13... But yeah, that's a boner-inducing situation right there.

I don't know where you live... but where I live and at december, you don't want to go to the beach. It is so friggin' cold, man.

I live in nebraska, but going to a beach is pretty much impossible because there are none.

Looks like claymation, only more detailed.

Yeah... it sorta does now that you mention it... Looks like I have to experiment a bit more with texturing to make it look more furry, I guess.

I din't say it looked BAD, just DIFFERENT.

I didn't get the feeling you thought it was bad either. It was more of a commentary on what I was thinking when you mentioned it.

It does look like claymation, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I intended to give the fur some wet feel, but I guess it could've been done better. n_n Well, then again... they would look quite soggy, wouldn't they?

I'd say the scary part is it looks like Quinn's hand is about to wander places it shouldn't.

Wonderful job as always x3 Ooo and the guy even has abs, slight as they are.... I never was able to draw abs for some reason :/

Honestly I forgot all about painting those abs. I get in this creative pseudo zen-like state when I paint stuff. In this sort-of state I look at all the values and strokes and try to make them more easier to watch. Which in turn makes me sometimes completely forget about what I was really painting.
I guess my memory fails me way too often. XD

Anyhow, if you wanna be good at it. Think of the abs as the top (or bottom) of a six-pack of cans (without the paper/carton packaging)... but more squarish. The belly button is in the crevice between the second and third couple of cans (counted from the top).
If you're going to draw such, I recommend you trying Google Image and look for references to draw from. Or finding somebody to model for you. n_n

Thanks for the help ^.^ I'll use a referance picture from google next time I'm drawing such a thing. Since I was and still am not to good at drawing them, normally I'd avoid drawing it at all costs by either not drawing guys or making them wear baggy clothes.

nice realistic style of coloring, and the poses and the interaction of the characters is very realistic as well. Nice job on the expressions

Thanks, I like this style myself. But I usually try to refrain from doing that. It takes an insanely long time to do in comparison with the usual cellshaded look. But the smoothness does make it worth the while for the more special artworks I guess.

Actually I believe I established the posing and expression first for this piece and tried to keep the focus on that. Apparently that worked for you.
