Fail title is fail. xD
i took a picture with my camera so i could have a higher quality version of it on here.

I also fail at backgrounds. well, foregrounds in this i guess.

EDIT: As some of you may have noticed, the right side of her face looks a little off. that because, originally, her hoof was supposed to be there. i planned the picture to have a window, but only after i shaded Julia, i realised that i cant draw windows. (ive tried before, i just cant get it.) well, i erased it, and it took almost 45 minutes to get it back to looking presentable. meaning, i had to draw the face, erase any left over marks, shade the background to cover up the outline i couldnt erase completely, and coloring it all back in. the coloring part took the longest; it was hard to get it back to that shade.

i wanted to show that i could draw more than just ponies in the pose that i always do without knowing it.
I posted that journal for the song themed pictures earlier, and one that i got was Payphone. This is VERY loosely based on it. So loosely, that i can barely tell that its based on it.
This looks a lot better in person. my phone camera did not do it justice. D:

I would love it if i could get something along the lines of a critique!

work time: about 2 hours, not including sketch time and mess up fixing time.

Tools: 2H pencil, 6B pencil, Blending Stump, Moldable Eraser

Dear Julia,
There's something I have to tell you
But it was too hard say to your face
So, unfortunately, this letter will have to do

But he can tell me anything
That's what he said when he saw me first cry
When the tears fell from my eyes
He asked me what was wrong; he really tried

By the time you read this
I'll be long gone; where, I don't know
I just wanted to tell you how much I love you
And how I'll miss your eyes, so aglow

Where did this come from?
It was all so amazing when we were together
He can't go; he can't leave me.
We were fine in any weather.

I'll miss your velvet hair,
The way it bounced so lightly
The way it gleamed in the morning sun…
You were so happy when the sun shone brightly

Did I say something wrong,
Something to offend him?
I thought this would never end
Even if others said our futures were grim

I'll miss your warm, inviting smile
The way you lit up a room
Just by a sliver of a grin
Was just like a flower in bloom

But most of all, I'll miss you.
How you could see all those shapes in the sky,
Or how you would snort when you laughed to hard
And how you always hated goodbyes

I know you'll detest me after this
I have accepted these burdens
But just know I'll always love you
And remember to feed the birds and water the garden.
