They kinda have sideburns. Not as magnificent as the ones you drew, though.
Perhaps make the upper jaw/muzzle/lips whatever a bit bigger on the next drawing. It looks like it protrudes a bit more on the reference.

Hehe, I may have gone overboard with the sideburns--I just love them so much! And yes, I agree with the upper jaw. I think I must have drawn and redrawn that snout about 10 times and this seemed to be the best I could get.
