Blanford's foxes live in Middle Eastern deserts, so I guess I'll try to put a desert background on this picture later on...when I feel like it. Which will probably be never. :/

I personally find the lines to be fine, I just suggest making the chest area a little ridged, same with the underbelly, and maybe slightly on the tail, just so you can see the fur. Other than that, it looks good.

Thanks! Yeah, the little hints of fur add a lot to the picture. I usually enjoy doing those. I'm not sure why I didn't add them, but I probably will when I do the background.

It would add to the realism you've tried to bring with the image.

Good work, I'm much into unknown canids so like it a lot

Thanks! I like learning about animals and I've found that just by drawing them you can learn more about them--and it's easier to remember what you've learned when you can associate a something visual with it, too.

Thanks! The more I draw and the easier some things come, the more enjoyable and therapeutic I find it to be.

He looks good.

I was going to say that the ears and tail look too big, but then I looked at the reference. You got those right.

You could try and make it look like his outline is furry, though- most furry creatures I know have raggedy outlines due to fur, unless they're wet.

I thought about making him look a bit more furry, but I guess I didn't feel like it. I was mainly trying out a new line art method, which I like more. (using gimp instead of photoshop) But I do like the fluffy fur look better too.
