Awesome shot.. perfect stance balance, and framing. My eyes stay on him the whole time.

Do you remember what settings you used? I've been taking pictures of my friends band and they are coming out so-so. Granted the lighting is not as bright as a scorpions concert..

Even this shoot was very low light. I was shooting under the dreaded first 3 songs only rule. They keep the good lighting for later in the set. Many of the great shots were ruined do to the low lighting. You have to shoot anyway. I was using my Nikon N90s on program but most of the shots were at 2.8 at 25/sec and less using TMax 400 shot at 320. In the old days using my manuel Nikons I generaly shot at 2.8 at 30/sec or 60/sec. I don't like using flash so most of my good shots were at or around this setting. Digital shooting makes this much easier to cheat of course. For color I shoot 200 ectachrome and push to 400. Although on this shoot I think I actually used Kodak Ultra color 400 negative film.
