... and Spanish moss.Giftart for because I absolutely adore her character Esk. He just strikes me as very aesthetically pleasing and original.
I've seen people give this character every kind of growth on his back from fungi, cacti, seaweed, and cherry trees so I decided to put my own spin on it. I hail from the deep south and one of my favorite aspects of where I live is the twisting live oak trees and clumps of Spanish moss, so that's what Esk gets to grow out of his back here.

I'm really digging the addition of the Spanish moss. It gives the character a more ancient, mystical feel. The pose is very well-executed, and I like the limited use of colour. Very nice interpretation!

Wait till you get to Savannah. Halloween is brilliantly creepy at night. Haunted city filled with huge creepy old haunted houses, bigass revolutionary way/yellow fever victim cemetery in the middle of town, and everything is surrounded by huge gnarled twisting hundred or so year old live oaks covered in spanish moss. It really sets the mood.
