Actually I don't think so. His wife and daughter were killed and literally...eaten by almost starved humans. After he killed on of the hunters and realized what he would become, if he don't stop., he ran away as fast and far as possible. He never toll anybody about what happened, not even Staceel. But he likes to remember Miraah and Vaal every time they come to a river or the sea, also every time it rains. His wife was a sea-dragoness and of course she needed and loved the water, his daughter liked it too.
