Panthera leo, adolescent male (notice the developing mane) kept by a private enthusiast in Slovakia.At those days it was still possible to enter their run and take photos directly (and also cuddle - though I always wondered whether my travel insurance covers being bitten by a lion).

I'm honestly surprised by the way some of my pictures are received. Some pictures I really like hardly draw any attention. This guy is nice, but the number of faves he's got surprised me
