*EDIT* Explaining a few points because they keep comming up in the comments: 1) This was drawn a very long time before the animated series Friendship is Magic first aired, so that's why the image doesnt take any of that series into account. And 2) Harry's cutie mark is a flower pot because potters make flowerpots (amongst other things), and it was the most obvous visual representation if his name that I could think of. /*EDIT*I had drawn this aaaages ago, not long after doing MLP: Hogwarts, and just never got around to colouring it until now. Inked pencil sketch scanned, then coulored in Photoshop Elements.
In case you can't tell, that's a Bludger that's just nearly-missed hitting Draco, and Harry is chasing the Snitch. (Poor ickle thing, look at the terror in its eyes. *grin*) I suppose I should have done a Quaffle too -- maybe I'll do something with Oliver Wood or Ron playing Keeper at some point. I had ideas for a few other HP-related MLPs, but who know if I will ever get to them at this rate

In my experience, it can also just be representative of an *interest*, or the pony's personality or something, not necesarily specifically some sort of ability (that may not be the case in Friendship is Magic, but I did this drawing a very long time before that series even existed).
Further, when adapting other works into MLP, I think the important thing is to make sure there's something to the pony that makes them recognisable as the character they are supposed to be, hence Draco having a dragon on him.
Even so, names like Potter would have come from the career of someone in the family, so while Harry may not be a potter himself, once of his ancestors likely was and had that as *their* talent. So if one is going to syay a mark must represent a talent, I think it's still concievable that Harry could have inherited the mark from his family, if not the talent.
And really, it's just a peice of fanart in any case. XD

Yes, it's a flower pot, and yes it's meant to be a play on his name -- I figured it was a little more recognisable/understandable than a potter's wheel probably would have been....
