Well, I'm not sure if it's ever mentioned Ghostblade himself trained her, but what I do know is that she trained and became a warrior just so she could be useful to him, to repay him for saving her life a long time ago, or something like that.
Really, we're just gonna have to be patient and wait for the release of the other Chapters. But you know, the wait is kinda paying off!

I think you could have spent more time refining the guy's face and fingers.. they look rushed and blotchy/sloppy.

His blurriness suggests motion and transience to me... like seeing her stay put while men come and go around her.
But its just because this is a character design for the girl only, so the guy is just background.

Honestly, I think that's intended... they sort of tell a story the way they are now, and it might be as simple as 'the woman is the focus of this picture' but making him hazy lends to this sorta atmosphere that he's villainy or victimy or ~something~ and I think the picture reads a lot clearer, and is generally more powerful, this way, than had he been rendered like her.
It's all subjective, though, in the end!
