She appeared to him, only because of his disliking of Halloween... He has his reasons, yet... She didn't take his words lightly...

Three references in the drawing.
Ellen standing near/and beneath a tree is based off the "Hellhound" scene from "The Omen" 1976.
And the entities coming out of the ground; of course others would take one guess; "Jason Goes to Hell".
Also- I took reference from an Old Drawing I never posted: sta.sh/0hgfidz8y5a
The third reference; is a scene from the film "The Serpent and The Rainbow" where the MC is dragged beneath the ground by disembodied hands. Only during a vision.
Also; still rusty on shading, so this is all I got for it for now...
