I've read all the books 3 times with a few years inbetween each read through and seen the movies twice. I wayyy prefer the books, Ginny has next to no personality in the movies aside from "The Chamber of Secrets" and you don't even see Harold once!! >:C (that's Ginny's purple pet pigmy puff that Fred and George created as pets for girls. Because boys can't have cute pink and purple pets or something, apparently....)
Yes, you should! ^w^
Yeah, tons of people know Harry Potter stuff, simply from avid fans pushing their vast knowledge onto others and squeezing out what hogwarts house you're in. XD
*cough cough* I'm a Hufflepuff

Hehe >w<
Whoop whoop! ^w^
I'm mostly a Hufflepuff, secondarily a Ravenclaw and thirdly a Slytherin, leaving Gryffindor for forth ;^^ I value loyalty and kindness most, knowledge next then ambition. But courage not so much ;^^ it can make you reckless and not think things through....

All of them are important, it's just sort of ranking how important they are to you ;^^
Going by the book and by what J.K Rowling has said before, it would be what you value and not what you embody. E.g Hermione could have easily been put in Ravenclaw, but she's values bravery over knowledge which is why she's a Gryffindor even though she's very knowledgeable. Also, Neville lacks courage but really values it which is why he was put in Gryffindor despite wanting to be a Hufflepuff. (And spoilers,
he does prove himself courageous in the last book. )
