just with the correct amount of reflection and transparency levels, with a good spherical map for the (ball) sky. and of course knowledge of GI rendering.

i think, all the glazed wall' frames should reflect environment somehow, because they look like lines drawn on curved glass... and, by the way, you really don't think, that all that glass panels supposed to be curved O.o That whole curved surface of glass must show its segmented nature

this is a conceptual architectural rendering, perhaps you are confusing this with a photo realistic rendering of the final building. as for the reflection of the environment, this model is built in an environment with GI + reflections and everything turned on, so what is rendered should be correct. as for the curved glass, there are plenty of architectural rendering out there doing exactly the samething, and there are also plenty of buildings with curved glass panels, i see absolutely no point in doing every single glass panel segmented because that would consume large amount of my time, which i can use for other projects, this is a commercial rendering used to express the concept, so i am getting $$$ paid (not by the hour) for it, therefore i dont have all day to do the segmented glass, so please understand

I saw, you requested critiques, not debates :/

sorry i do not mean to start a debate, i was simply explaining my motive as i often get the similar "if its not photo-realistic then it must not be good" comments

Great image, the reflection definately makes the image. Just wondered why you didn't put more detail in the background buildings, but the image still looks awesome, well done.

cheers mate, glad you liked it. this is rendered in the traditional sense architectural rendering in china, and is done upon client's wishes, so therefore, it had to fulfill their requirement. and they wanted to bring out the foreground buildings, and blend out the background.

hi, unfortunately its not, i replaced the rendered sky with a background in photoshop, however, the original sky was rendered with a ball sky (spherical map)
