Oh goodness at first glance I thought that was a horse skull haha I'm not all that sure how to remove the head, since it should just come right off with a few tugs if the flesh is gone o.o
As far as cleaning skulls go, there's quite a few different ways to do it! =3 Soaking it in cold water for a long period of time will soften the flesh to the point that you can gently scrub the remaining flesh off. You can also boil the skull, which is a lot faster and will kill all remaining bactiria, but you have to keep an eye on it. Boiling for long can damage it! Also, if you choose to boil, have the skull in the water and the water cold before you boil it. Placing the skull directly into hot water can crack the teeth.
After all the flesh is removed you can bleach it if you want it to look all pretty. For bleaching you just go to the store and buy normal hair bleach(do NOT use laundry bleach, it'll devolve bone tissue). Mix the bleach with water and place the skull in it, let it sit until it's as light as you want it.
After that you just take it out, dry thoroughly, and wa-la! Pretty new skull =3

You have just become my hero! I've been doing a lot of research on this as well, and the only difference I seem to find is instead of bleach, many say use peroxide. So I'm a little apprehensiveness on what to use.
Anyway, Thanks for the advice. (Ps: Awesome gallery)
