Yes a new drawing again and no I don't want to top the numbers of 2007, although it seems so.
A new commission drawing, just have three more to do, so I'll want to finish all commissions till February.
A4 pencil drawing

Wow...one day... I find infants terribly difficult, due to the many round contours (all their little cheeks, lips, noses and chins)--they're tough to shade too--but this is such a sweet and lovely portrait!

Oh yes the commissioner love this piece, it's a birthday present for her daughter ( the mother to the baby I draw).
One day! If I find enough time it would be great, than it's possible to do more drawings in one day, if it haven't much details.

I know what you mean. I think it's easier to draw babies in one day because there aren't very many details one has to draw. Usually they always have their eyes closed.

So sweet....I dont really understand why people want newborns drawn though. I think they should wait until the baby developes a bit more personality and roundness to there faces (stuff is swollen for awhile after they come out, I have a few of my own and they became more attractive with a little time)...newborns typically are something only a mother can see its beauty, I thought all my babies were so pretty and I look back at the newborm pictures and I realized that was a mothers love shining through, the kids laugh when they see them now....this portrait lovely though.

I think like you. I never would want a drawing of one of my kids as baby. I think it's much more nice to see a drawing when they grow up like one year.
But if the people want that I draw newborn I'll make, even I don't really like it.

In just one day?! A great feat I would say.
One thing I want to mention is one of his/her nostrils being too light. Even if it appears that way in the reference photo, I'd suggest to make it darker.

I know exactly what you're talking about. Some of my drawings looked awesome when freshly finished, but I could easily see the mistakes after I post them up on the internet
