... Hanging In The Light ...European Garden Spider / Cross Orbweaver (Araneus diadematus)
So, to the best of my knowledge this is an European Garden Spider, alos knows as Diadem Spider, Cross Spider, or Cross Orbweaver, and very common throughout Europe as well as parts of North America. It wove its web on the Cypress tree right in front of my kitchen window and it was a pleasure to photograph when the afternoon sunlight struck the cobweb with an angle that made it brilliantly visible.

I know not everyone likes spiders, but I think they're underrated, they keep annoying insects away, and I just like this particular photo so much! X3
