Harpy Hapries are like beings with head of a human and bodies of large birds. They are found mostly concentrated around Zeventus. Harpies live in their own small tribes, they are interconnected with their trade routes. Rumors and gossip always travels fast between the tribes. Most harpies rely on raiding towns and villages as a source of survival and income; however, there is still a notable amount of craftsmen and artisans throughout the tribes.

Most people would immediately chalk Sygferd up as arrogant, cold and ruthless upon their first meeting. He is a little too confident with his skills and too callous to be friends with anyone. He has an extreme competitive streak and is willing to do anything in order to win. However, after warming up with a person, Sygferd starts to show his playful and mischievous side. Among the WindWraiths, he is notorious for being the prank master, and often guilty for starting several prank wars with some of the members.

Sygferd was born to in the middle of the coldest winter known to the harpy tribes within the Highlands. Sickly since birth, Sygferd spent more time with the tribe’s healer than his own mother during his early childhood. He was trapped in the confinements of the Healer’s tent without much to do much to his chagrin. The tribe will follow a migration route around the Highlands twice a year, and most of the time during the moves, the young Sygferd will subcumb to a minor fever or some other sickness. However, as he grew older, his immune system strengthened with him, allowing him to actually venture out of the confines of the Medi-tent. As his health improved, the more trouble he got into. It became a common occurrence that the young harpy got himself into some sort of trouble.
As a teenager, Sygferd started to travel throughout Zeventus on his own, not wanting to be babied by his family. To get by, he relied on thievery and pickpocketing, skills he started to hone as he grew. As he wandered through Zeventus, he realized that he was able to sense high concentrations of Ether or an individual with high controls of Ether. He started to use these skills to help him find and loot areas with large stores of Ether, making his nomadic life slightly easier. Eventually, he was spotted by a seasoned Sky Pirate by the name of Lua Veran. She was interested with his ability to detect Ether and offered him a place with her crew.
Sygferd was reluctant. He had survived on his own so far, so why would he want to depend on others? He was no longer a sickly fledgling. However, there was also the idea of strength in numbers. He decided to stick around for a little while. The longer he stayed on the Windwraith, Sygferd learned that the crew was more like a family -- a big, dysfunctional, violent family, but a family never the less. As time passes, the Windwraith crew started to grow on him. Sygferd started to enjoy spending time on board the ship and found himself unwilling to part with his new very dysfunctional family even though his job often takes him off board scouting the area or seeking out potential places to loot. On board, Sygferd is usually spotted in the masts or in the crow’s nest, usually relaxing or harassing Myalo and Rubido, the two lookouts.

Skills / Abilities Weapons
Hakata (Finnish verb, to chop, to beat, hack), his scimitar, is mainly used for parrying and blocking attacks.
Fendente (Italian noun, cut, slash (with a sword)), his dagger, is primarily used for striking and slipping through the opponent’s guard. Other primary uses for this dagger include but do not end at cutting coin purses, prying open lids, and wood carvings.
Throwing Knives Sygferd always keeps a set of throwing daggers on his person. If not, he’ll always resort to picking up the first thing he sees and tossing it at his opponent's head.
Enchanted scarf Sygferd possesses a scarf that takes form of a non-poisonous snake that feeds off of the wearer's ether in small concentrations. Sygferd obtained this scarf prior to his admission into the WindWraith crew. Due to the lack of ether control Sygferd has, the scarf serves more as an accessory than anything.

Despite being pretty skilled with his two blades, Sygferd rarely does any serious damage while swinging his sword. Instead, he relies on creating multiple cuts that cause damage over time and slowing down the enemy rather than taking them on in a full fight.
Target Accuracy
Sharp with his eyes and quick with his hands, Sygferd has honed his ability to aim and throw things -- knives, darts, bar stools, empty barrels, he’s probably chucked it at somebody.
Ether Sense
Sygferd is able to sense large concentration of ether up to twenty-five feet around him, being it crystals or an individual with a high control of ether. He is not skilled enough to pinpoint the exact location for the source of ether, but he can feel the presence of its general area as if there is a ringing in his ears.
Random Skills
Pickpocketing - Pickpocketing is one of his main source of income.
Lockpicking - Quick with his hands, Sygferd is rather skilled with picking locks, but the more complex locks may give him a harder time.
Poker - Sygferd is pretty good at bluffing and playing cards.
Extra Info- His favorite fruit is apple. It is rare from him to turn one down when offered.

RP Prompt Boredom. The bane of his existence. The harpy was sprawling on the rigging of the main mast and staring up at the infinite blue of the sky. He sighed before he rolled onto his stomach and stared down at the crew members. It was a nice day outside. Too nice. They spent the past week idly waiting for the next job the Captain can find. It was far too peaceful for a life of a Sky Pirate. Sygferd was itching to do at least something -- wrestles, drinking contests, SOMETHING. He groaned as he rolled onto his back. Maybe he should do some scouting on his own. Something looped around his left leg, causing the harpy to jerk up. Before he knew it, his entire world inverted and he let out a startled yell. He twisted around to see what suddenly grabbed him only to find two matching grins from the Nest. His face turned red, not just because all of his blood is rushing to his head. “MYALO! RUBIDO!” He drew Fendente from its sheath and slashed away the offending rope before landing slightly awkwardly on the deck. He grinned savagely at the two who were exchanging high fives up above. Boredom was now replaced with excitement and a sense of vengeance. Oh, this means war.
