THE SCANNER KILLED THE COLORSit look so much better in real life, i swear. i have a bit of a dilemma... should i tear it out of my ring notebook, hoping for a better scan? but i want to be able to flip through my arts, and its such a pretty notebook... ;___;
Ice queen! i'm starting on a mini series of powerful woman fantasy figures, it was kinda inspired by my mother nature piece [link] and so far, the line up includes girls like the black queen of chess and lady luck. hope they turn out good
but for the moment, hope you enjoy this one.
PS: it is not known whether she is good or evil, but that she serves her own ends. i'm thinking of making her a character in an upcoming project.
PSS: the names of her two arctic foxes are Hahen and Garasu.
PSSS: i can't draw foxes.

Love the regal appearance. I haven't seen too many queen deviations that actually look like royalty (most just look like sluts with tiaras...)

Even if your scanner killed the colors, they still look nice :3
Tip:
There are some nice clear plastic sleeves you can but that can be put into binders and are cheap. Usually they come in packages of 25 or 50. You can tear (gently!) out your drawings, trim off the edges, and slide them in a sleeve and put them in a binder. They work great, and if they fill up, just buy another binder. They'rea cheap and neat way to display art :3

omg someone noticed! i'm so happy... i'm trying to vary my shading, i use my browns too much... i think it looks interesting though. light blue and light purple make for really nice shading, and i'm glad you noticed it haha

i knowwww D: except well since this piece was done in an A5 notebook, and the rings of the notebook are pretty big, so scanning it was kinda weird... thats why i was sort of undecided on whether i should tear it out or not : ( i don't want to..

The colours are SO good! I dunno how you can colour something in and still make it look white...but shaded...but not grey. LOL

I see. It could also be the way your monitor displays colours. Mine have been giving me a torrid time trying to get them to display properly, something about gamma being wrong and what not.

maybe.. but i also find that when i look at the file in photoshop and the posted version on dA, the posted one has more brightness 'A' i was fiddling with it a bit.

PSD file has more data than a jpeg. Try checking your colour settings (ctrl+shift K) and swapping between monitor colour and north american general. If that doesn't help try saving as a PNG file instead of a jpeg.
